What is Successful Parent Invovlement
The Center for Comprehensive School Reform and Improvement asserts successful parent involvement can be defined as the active, ongoing participation of a parent or primary caregiver in the education of his or her child. Parents can demonstrate involvement at home-by reading with their children, helping with homework, and discussing school events-or at school, by attending functions or volunteering in classrooms. At Everest Charter we encourage parents to become active participants in their child's education. We strive to keep parents engaged, incorporate them into the learning process, and communicate with parents frequently. Research shows that parent involvement can improve students' behavior, attendance, and achievement. To learn more about parent involvement opportunities please contact Mrs. Stokes (Ms. Reece) at [email protected] or call 954-532-3015.
